What is Improving Working Lives (IWL)?

The IWL initiative was developed nationally through consultation with the NHS, unions and staff representatives. Every NHS organisation is introducing IWL in 7 key areas.

What is it for?

The aim of IWL is to offer staff a better deal in their working lives. It will help everyone to strike a better balance between their work and home life, work more flexibly, develop and enjoy work more.
