The PCT has a commitment to developing positive flexible
working arrangements that allow employees to balance work
responsibilities with other aspects of their lives whilst
maintaining a quality service to the population of Bolton.
The PCT has a legal obligation (under the Employment Act 2002)
to consider requests for flexible working from employees who meet
certain eligibility criteria. The statutory right to make a
request to work flexibly does not provide an automatic right to do
so as there may be circumstances that result in the PCT being
unable to accommodate desired working patterns
