Union Local Negotiations

There is a formal structure for unions to meet with management on a regular basis. Union stewards from the different unions meet together as the Staff Union Committee (SUC) and this body in turn negotiates directly with management in the Joint Negotiating Group (JNG). This is how local policies governing many aspects of our working conditions are agreed.

Copies of all Trust policies are kept in each department and are available for staff to see at any time. Alternatively you can see the policies here.

The Staff Open Forum (SOF) is open to any employee to attend to raise issues and concerns with Trust management. It meets every two months.
