About Bolton Primary Care Trust

Bolton Primary Care Trust (PCT) is part of the NHS and has two main roles:

• Improving health of all people in Bolton. We work with a wide range of organisations to deliver this, especially Bolton Council.

• Commissioning health services. This means we undertake a range of activities to make sure that health services funded by the PCT, on your behalf, are safe and high quality, and meet the needs of individuals fairly, efficiently and effectively.

In addition we:

• Provide health services which are mostly delivered in local health centres across Bolton, but sometimes in hospital or in people’s homes.
