The Primary Care Trust (PCT) is managed by a Board, a Professional Executive Committee and a Management Team

To help represent the interests of local people, the majority of the board members are lay people (known as Non-executive directors). These are men and women who live locally and have experience of other fields as well as a keen interest in health.
