Clinical Governance

It may not have the most exciting title, but as the 'guardian of health' Clinical Governance does have a major role to play.

In essence, Clinical Governance involves everyone within the Trust striving towards developing and delivering high quality healthcare. This can range from how GPs reduce their appointment waiting times to how we as a Trust handle patient information.

Bolton PCT continually reviews our services to improve the care we offer to patients. The PCT learns lessons as a result of complaint investigations and significant incidents and will work closely with colleagues from other NHS providers to improve patient care pathways where appropriate.
