Q. What if my request for an Independent Review is refused, or I am unhappy with the outcome of the review?A. You can contact the Health Service Ombudsman. The Ombudsman
is completely independent of the NHS and Government. The Ombudsman can
investigate complaints about the way in which an NHS Service was
provided or failure to provide a service that the NHS has a duty to
provide and this includes the handling of complaints. Contact: - The Ombudsman will not normally take on a case that has not been through the NHS Complaints Procedure.
