Post Natal Depression

Having a baby is supposed to be a joyous time and many women find it difficult to admit that they feel they can't cope with the demands of a new baby and are feeling low.  Having a new baby can be a particular difficult time emotionally for both parents and there is nothing to be embarrassed about.  Your Health Visitor can help you recover more quickly by offering to visit you on a regular basis for a while. These "listening" visits may help to give you some special time to explore your feelings and give you practical support.

Remember YOUR Health Visitor is there to help YOU and not just your baby.
