Children's Services

Much of the Primary Care Trust's work in the field of child health is carried out by
Health Visitors and School Nurses.

Child Health Clinics

Clinics are provided throughout the area in health centres and health clinics. They are run by Health Visitors who offer support and advice about your child's general health and development. Health Visitors will check children's progress through developmental assessments and offer immunisation. Details of local clinics can be obtained by contacting your local health centre or clinic.

Paediatric Services

Consultant Community Paediatricians work in the community and offer advice about childhood problems, which may include development, behaviour or general health problems. Community Consultant Paediatricians can be contacted at Halliwell Children's Centre.
