Our Sessions are based on the
A. B. C.
of Dental Health
Avoid sugary snacks and drinks
between meals.
Brush teeth twice a day with
Fluoride toothpaste.
Check up regularly with a dentist.
Our Staff hold qualifications in Oral Health training / teaching Oral
Health and our sessions are in compliance with the policy document - 'The
scientific Basis of Dental Health Education'.
Our Aim is
To reduce the incidence of oral disease throughout Bolton District
Our Objectives being:
- To raise the level of understanding of the relationship between diet
and dental decay.
- To increase the knowledge of how to improve and maintain oral health
- To encourage the uptake of dental services to increase the number of
children attending a dentist on a regular basis
We provide direct education to:
- Nursery school children
- Primary school pupils
- Senior school pupils
and group /training sessions for:
- Ante and Post Natal
- Parent and Carers of young children
- Parent and Toddlers groups
- Crèche workers
- Nursery Staff
- Child Minders
- Student of Child Care
- Nurses and Midwives
- Primary Healthcare teams
- Care workers for people with special needs/elderly
- Other professional groups or individuals
