Direct Access Cataract Scheme
The Royal Bolton Hospital has a direct access scheme for the assessment
and treatment of cataracts for patients registered with Bolton GPs..
Bolton PCT has made special arrangements so that patients suffering from
cataract may attend an accredited optometrist for an examination to see if
the direct access scheme is appropriate.
Patients with cataract should be referred to one of the accredited
optometrists on the list below:
