Podiatry - Biomechanics
Problems associated with foot, ankle, knee, hip, lower back and gait may
be alleviated by orthotics (otherwise known as insoles).
The specialist unit at Lever Chambers Centre for Health has one of only a
few computer aided manufacturing and design systems in the country. In fact
it was the first within the NHS to be used solely for the treatment of
patients. Video gait analysis is also available. Staff here have a special
interest in Paediatrics, Diabetes, Neuro-Rehabilitation and Sports Injuries.
