Bolton Centre for Sexual Health
The centre is bound by law to ensure the confidentiality of your records.
Information about you will not be given to anyone without your consent. If
you have been formally referred by your family doctor (GP) a written report
of your care will be sent to him/her. Communication with your GP will not
normally take place without your prior approval.
The Centre for Sexual Health is at the Royal Bolton Hospital.

The centre provides:
- Cervical smear tests and colposcopy (treatment for abnormal smear)
- Information and advice about sexual health
- Hepatitis screening and vaccination
- Sexual health check ups
- Treatment for sexual infection
- Condoms
- Information and advice about HIV
- HIV testing
- Ongoing support, treatment and care for people living with HIV
- Family planning
- Sexual dysfunction sessions
- Management of genital skin conditions
Making an appointment
You do not need to be referred by your family doctor to attend the
centre. Most people refer themselves to the centre.
To book an appointment with the clinic telephone 01204 390771 from 8.30am
each morning (Monday to Friday).
If you are concerned about your symptoms or notice any changes in your
condition, e.g. pain or discharge, you should ask to speak to one of our
nurses before making an appointment. In this case it's best to ring before
9.30 in the morning if possible.
Clinic opening times are as follows and by appointment only:
Monday 9.30 - 6.30pm
Tuesday 9.30 - 6.30pm
Wednesday 9.30 - 1.30pm
Thursday 9.30 - 6.30pm
Friday 9.30 - 1.30pm

your GP:

- Sexual Dysfunction Clinic
- Genital-dermatology Clinic
