Stroke Services

We provide a comprehensive range of care for patients aged 18 and over who have suffered a stroke and who are Bolton residents or registered with a Bolton GP.

Early Supported Discharge

This element of the service enables patients to be discharged from Royal Bolton Hospital with seamless care into the community.

Complex Stroke Team

We provide assessment, treatment and support for patients who have previously had a stroke and require further care.

Both Teams are supported by a consultant physician and Active Case Manager and provide the following: -

• Physiotherapy
• Occupational Therapy
• Continence
• Dietetics
• Speech and Language Therapy
• Podiatry
