The service is clinic based and offers a comprehensive assessment of an individual's wheelchair needs, taking into account their physical needs, where the wheelchair is to be used and the abilities of their main carer.

Indoor/Outdoor Powered Wheelchairs

These wheelchairs can improve significantly people's independence and quality of life. However, there is a strict eligibility criteria and the individual must undertake a detailed assessment process.

Special Seating

People who are unable to maintain normal posture when seated in a wheelchair may be assessed for special seating systems. This is done in conjunction with their own therapists and wherever possible their carer.

Pressure Relieving Cushions

Pressure relieving cushions may be prescribed with a wheelchair where there is a risk of damage to skin or where a pressure area currently exists.
